The term ding refers to prehistoric and ancient Chinese cauldrons crafted in the Bronze Age. Bronze vessels such as this required a great amount of time and resources to produce and so were often only available to those of high rank or nobility. Care
If possible, always keep bronze and similar metal materials in ventilated areas away from excessive heat or humidity. It is natural for a greenish patina to develop on bronze over time. This is a result of a natural oxidation process as the bronze is exposed to the environment. Occasional application (1-2 times per year) of WD-40 can help prolong this process.
