Description
This hand carved piece of nephrite jade features a classic Chinese vessel with a dragon motif. A notably impressive crafting trait of this piece is the chain links on the lid and handles. Each link is unbroken, carved from the same stone as the handle it is linked to. Abstract, cloudlike dragons are carved into each of planes of the lid and body. Four feet are carved into the appearance of the claws.
With delicate handling and care, this piece has the capacity to store sweets for guests or function as a catch-all dish. Place the lid back to conceal its contents and return to a neat, decorative state. Handcrafted from natural jade, the color may vary slightly for each one, please allow for slight variances.
Care
Never clean jade with abrasive cleaners or solutions, they likely contain chemicals that can cause harm. Regular cleaning can be done with a dry or damp microfiber cloth. Use a mild soap for especially grimy areas, and also use a soft bristled brush for hard to reach areas. Never fully immerse the jade in water, this is unnecessary. If cleaning with water, make sure to remove any excess moisture left behind. Handling the jade and touching it can actually be beneficial. The oil from skin is good for jade and can help to increase its luster.
Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun as this can alter the color of the jade. Also prevent the jade from forcefully bumping into hard surfaces, this can damage the interior structure.
