Completely hand-made by ceramist in China, and hand-painted with traditional blue and white motif, brought to China by the British in the early 18th century. Large bowls like these were traditionally used by noble families of ancient China to protect their pond gold fish from the freezing cold of winter. Used today as a cachepot, it gives plants a highly decorative place to put down roots. Please allow slight color variations for each one. Top opening diameter is approximately 12.75" dia.
